Frequently Asked Questions

Costs vary as each case is different, but most insurances cover a portion of the cost, and we also offer financing.

Most insurance policies will cover Invisalign® treatment in the same way they cover braces. Your insurance may cover a percentage of your treatment or a dollar amount. At the Smile Store, we will provide everything possible for full reimbursement from your insurance company as long as your insurance plan is eligible.

Yes, we accept both! You may process your HSA/FSA debit card like you would any credit or debit card. Visit our Pricing page for more details.

The foundation of the Smile Store revolves around customer satisfaction. The premise around this success is largely associated with strong customer compliance with wearing the clear aligners as instructed by your Smile Store affiliated Doctor. During the Smile Store consultation process you will have the opportunity to approve your simulated treatment outcome. Your customized manufactured aligners from Invisalign are not eligible for refund or return, unless ill-fitting or defected from the manufacturer. However, in the unlikely event that you are not satisfied with the results after your treatment, and it is determined that you have fully complied with the Aligner wear and care instructions, your doctor will determine a fair refund amount based on your actual results compared to the original treatment outcome simulation.

Price, Convenience, Professional Oversight, all using Invisalign® - The World's Most Advanced Aligners.

Your first step involves a free 3D scan that will show a simulation of what your teeth will look like at the end of treatment. Your doctor will evaluate your smile and create a customized digital treatment plan of your new smile. Your aligners will be created once you approve your plan. Your Smile Store affiliated doctor will deliver your aligners and place attachments as needed to help facilitate tooth movement. You will be provided with specific instructions on wearing them between 20 to 22 hours per day and changing them every 1 to 2 weeks.

The average appointment should take around 20 to 30 minutes, conveniently scheduled at a time that works best for you and your busy schedule

The goal for each visit with your doctor is to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned. Typically your doctor will like to see you every 12-16 weeks for a check. You can also submit a series of digital photos and have your appointments made via teledental communication.

For your convenience, you can schedule and reschedule all of your appointments online on our Book A Scan page.

Doctor Oversight

Invisalign® is a series of clear removable aligners that slowly move and straighten teeth over time. Your doctor will design a custom digital treatment plan that executes the exact movements of your teeth, applying the correct amount of force at the right time through Invisalign’s unique software system. Your Smile Store doctor will monitor your progress every step along the way to ensure proper aligner fit and tooth movement.

Yes! Everyone deserves a smile that they love. It is possible to fix almost all common bite and teeth straightening issues with the advancements and innovations provided by the Invisalign® technology. Your first step involves a free consultation with your Smile Store provider at one of our Smile Store locations.

The most common reasons that you may not be a good candidate is if there is any active periodontal disease or decay. Your Smile Doctor will be able to assess that for you during your consultation visit where a radiograph is taken. You may be required to have clearance from your dentist before getting started with any treatment.

Generally, having a dental implant or any other restorative work does not exclude you from becoming a Smile Store candidate. Your Smile Store doctor will take a radiograph at your consultation and discuss the potential risks of going through treatment with dental restorations.

Missing teeth is generally not a reason that would prevent you from being an Invisalign candidate. Your Smile Store doctor will make recommendations during your consultation to help you achieve your treatment goals.

Your Smile Doctor will give specific instructions on wearing your aligners and how often to change them. Typically it is recommended to wear the aligners at least 20 to 22 hours a day, taking them out only to brush or eat, and changing them weekly or biweekly.

Once your treatment is complete your teeth and bite will need to be retained with retainers provided by your Smile Store. These should be worn at night to make sure that your smile remains for your lifetime.

Compliance is the rate limiting factor in the success of your treatment. Non-fitting aligners is a sign that aligners need to be worn more often. If you attempt to go to the next aligner and they are not fitting, it is recommended to stay in your current aligner for another week and use your Chewies to help to seat the aligner as well as wearing it for the recommended 20 to 22 hours per day. If the aligner is still not seating after that please contact your Smile Store to make an appointment to see your Smile Doctor. You may need a new scan with additional aligners to be fabricated.
